friendship promise, friends, friendship, poems about friendship, friendship poem
It was from the very start, you and I had crossed paths.
I was earnest to know you and you said you were too.
When we became friends, we shared lots of things-
Shared gossips, whispered secrets that we dearly promised to keep.
Yet these were things we had back on the days of yore.
And now that we grow old, we can only think those moments precious to behold.
We both promised, we both swore that our friendship stays forevermore.
Forever - that one of us may go. We'll recall our happy days and forget our woes.
We’d faced our fears, shed many tears, cried on sorrows, laughed with peers.
Those memories remain so fresh. Even if we’re old, it’s worth to reminisce.
I’m grateful to have you as my friend. We may grow old and come to end,
In our hearts, true friendship once sown. And this in heavy storm can never be blown.
