[Blog] From Pandemic to Beyond

MARCH 4, 2021 PROMPT
What is something you started doing during the pandemic that you will continue in the “post-pandemic” world?

From Pandemic to Beyond

Something that I started doing? Hmm, let me think… Nothing comes to mind. It seems I haven’t started anything new during this pandemic. My routine has stayed the same as before—just work, home, work, home (a never-ending cycle). Our company only paused operations for about half a month before calling us back to work, except for those who lived far from the office. Since I live nearby, I had to return.

During those few days off, I just stayed home. They were some of the most boring days of my life—not being able to go out for fun or even do groceries. Thank goodness I had my phone and iPad to help ease the boredom. I spent nearly all day and night watching videos, scrolling through social media, and playing online games simultaneously. Can you imagine that? I’m a great multitasker when it comes to these things: online gaming on my phone, videos on the iPad, and social media on my laptop. If my parents had been here, they might’ve killed me after seeing how obsessed I was with online games.

Oh, wait—I do remember one thing I started, though it’s pretty recent. My blog! I launched it last month, and I’m completely hooked. I didn’t think I’d survive daily blogging, but somehow, I’m managing. Here I am, still alive, writing my fourth entry this month. Reading the posts of fellow bloggers in this challenge (or is it a competition?) inspires me daily. I’ve learned so much from their entries—about their cultures, lifestyles, likes and dislikes, life events, and things unfamiliar to me.

Even if my grammar isn’t perfect, I won’t quit. I’ll do my best to write engaging entries (or at least ones that teach you something new about my culture and country). A huge thanks to this blogging challenge for the amazing, meaningful, and inspiring prompts. They motivate me to write every day. I’m sure I’ll keep doing this until I’m tired—just kidding!—or for the rest of my life, as long as I can still write.
