The Agony of Christ
His pristine blood gushed from His virgin wounds While a crown of thorns pressed deeply down His flesh The tingle of whips crawled all over His body The pain from the punctures through His feet and palm His thirst quenched only by a damp cloth Were the agonies Jesus endured on the day of His crucifixion. His death on the cross meant His utmost love for us To save and cleanse us from the mud of sins. After three griefful, melancholic days He rose from His grave as what had been written Ascended to heaven and judge the living and the dead. His rebirth and resurrection meant new hope— A good news to His believers and disciples And the words spread throughout...
