When twilight starts to fall
My vision draws an apparition
Where Satan's angels call
Hold you in possession.

When dogs haul and foxes bay
A signus for the coming savage
Their time to haunt and slay
Bringing a bloody rage.

On witching hours where moon is bright
Weirdo witch chants in bliss
Summons her victims with her might
Stirs her vat and casts her hypno kiss.

When the moon starts to disappear
Graveyards, tombs and niches and epitaphs
Break and crack and there appear
Zombies and Vampires haul in monstrous laughs.

Ravenous Vampires take their lead
Drink on blood and feast on flesh
Lick your neck and spread their plague
Leaving the village with a bloody mess.

Vicious bats from the niches, dire
Forming silhouettes in the mire.
Horrible wraiths are so blithe
On cutting heads with their scythes.

Scary ghost are on their slay
Chasing Caitiffs on their pray
For Satan's fall and devil’s break
To save themselves 'till daybreak.

Another day of living in disdain
My temple seems breaking, dying in pain
My wounds are freshened the moment
I think of those memories of torment.

My thoughts are on astray
I tread on this blurry way
Lost in this den oblivion
I can't find the way to move on.

I'm numb. I lost my feel
I deeply slumbers on world unreal.
This life of putrid miseries won't quell
Even rodents won't dare to dwell.

Their words are shattered glass
The pain from piercings just won't last
Their dreadful stares penetrate down my soul
And let me feel a life dark as coal.

I lost my strength to take the blows
My windows are tired and lost its glow
My tears ran dry, my reservoir is empty
I wither like a fragile flower beneath the tree.

My mind wander in the vast profound
Searching for lost hope that can never be found.
Forever it is lost. Forever I'll cry
Forever I'll fail every time I'll try.

Will I ever flee from this life choking chains
That grip me roughly inflicting much pains?
In this life I trod where darkness reigns
How long will I survive, how long will it ends?

The first drops of golden rays
        wake the deeply slumbered earth

Wind blows a cold breeze from the bay
let the flowers dance with mirth

Dewdrops strewn like myriad crystals
        mirror nature in a mirage

Flowers bloom with fragrant petals
        capture butterflies on espionage

Cold river constantly flows
rushing down in a slender twist

Valleys and prairies and meadows
reveal their splendor from the mist

Trees unfold its emerald crown
        to welcome the morning bright

On their huge bough, I lay down
to bask on a blitheful sight.

Worlds Collide

On the day our worlds collide
A fire aglow, my heart can't hide
A thought of you,  your soft caress
I love you, oh I confess
Be mine and be my bride

My heart seems rising a tide
The fire keeps burning- won't subside
The fondling warmth won't suppress
On the day our worlds collide

Now you know what lurks inside
The clamor, my love, I dare confide
I'll do everything to impress
We're miles apart, I love you nonetheless
On the day our worlds collide

Prompt: First Love
Form: Rondeau
Written for: "Fluttering Hearts"

Rondeau

This is a very underestimated and sometimes a very challenging poetry form. It consists of three stanzas, a quintet (5 lines), a quatrain (4 lines) and a sestet (6 lines), giving a total of 15 lines.

The first phrase of the first line usually sets the refrain R it is admissible to use the whole line used as the refrain.

The rhyme scheme is: R. a. a. b. b. a .... a. a. b. R. .... a. a. b. b. a. R.

The meter is considered be open and the French style is not bound by a rhyming pattern and is also more of a light and buoyant even "flashy" form of poetry which uses short lines. The English style however, is much more dour and serious, even meditative and uses tetrameter or pentameter. Here is an excellent example of the English style of Rondeau.

Would we feel our hearts scream in bliss,
Without suffering those heartaches and griefs?
Would we feel how mirthful we glow,
Without having shed our tears of sorrow?
Would we feel the essence of life,
Without having lost most of our strife?

For months I know it's been a strenuous journey,
the path we traveled was rough, steep and thorny.
You wished and prayed for a sod or carpet laid,
yet we found ourselves dancing in trenchant blade.
Though clandestine, we promised to not refrain
from loving each other, we do not complain.
I still remember from not so distant past
you've promised me a love that'll forever last.
